The Swain Arts Center lobby and gallery is a multi-use facility that's available to the community for meetings, receptions and special events. The Gallery features rotating exhibits of local artists and student artwork.
The Lobby is an ideal venue for small music groups. The acoustics and natural light create a wonderful ambiance.
The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians made the first contribution of 23 arts and crafts by a variety of Cherokee artists. The collection includes wood carving, pottery, carved masks, baskets, eagle dance wands, stick ball sticks, and an eagle effigy pipe and courting flute.
The Swain Arts Center Permanent Collection currently numbers 175 pieces in a variety of media, styles and subjects. Items include paintings, photography, stone and wood carving, baskets, pottery, stained glass, and fiber arts. Styles represented include everything from realism to impressionism to abstract.
