Home For The Performance and Visual Arts
Located on the Swain County High School campus, the Swain Arts Center serves the educational and cultural needs of both students and the community. Performing Arts programs include music, drama, dance, and multicultural performances. Visual Arts are exhibited in the gallery, and arts workshops in a variety of media are offered throughout the year. The facility is available for use by qualified independent organizations for compatible events and activities.
Critical Support
The Swain Arts Center receives a large amount of financial support each year from the North Carolina Arts Council through the Grassroots Grant Program. Many of our numerous arts programs would not be possible without this support. Please thank our elected state officials for their continued support of the arts by providing funding for this vital grant each year. Performances by such artists as Chi-Town Transit Authority, Roger Day, Hobey Ford and The Legacy Motown Revue would not have been possible without the Grassroots Grant.
